The Sun is Rising

We are all in a valley right now. With quarantine going on it's almost like the world is on pause. Here in Montgomery County, it's not as bad as it is in some states and countries but it is still depressing. Everyone is anxious and worried, taking precautions like wearing masks and gloves, it's almost like the world has lost its joy. Now, I know not everyone is miserable and afraid, I am not scared of COVID, but many people are and those people are living in fear right now. Yes, I know that this pandemic has killed many people and the families of those people are grieving and being careful. And now with two hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, people in this area are now panicking and worrying all over again. My point in saying this is that we are all under pressure right now. There isn't anything we can do to change that.

But (yes, there is always a but) we can choose to not let this affect us. We can choose to rise up in the midst of this trial. However, we cannot do this on our own. If we do, it will only be temporary, we have to cling to Christ and the promises He gives us. Things will get better, either on this side of eternity or the other. If we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we have Heaven to look forward to. Even if we don't see the sunrise during our time on Earth, we can have faith that we will see it in all of its beauty when we get to Heaven. We don't need to squander in self-pity because Jesus is our Provider. He is our Author and He is our Father.  2 Corinthians 4:8 says

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

I'm gonna leave you with this song that I think is perfect for this season of life that we are in. I know that this post does little to compensate for my absence but I think that if I were to harp any more on this topic then it would just become a jumble of incoherent words.

Just look beyond the clouds.
