The Liebster Award

Hello everyone! I'm back from my unannounced hiatus. Sorry about that.

Anyway, today I was nominated by Theia Grace for the Liebster Award. Thank you, Theia!

If you don't know what the Liebster Award is, here is the explanation that Theia posted on her blog.

The Liebster Award originated in Germany. The German word Liebster means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. In short, this award is given to the upcoming promising bloggers who have some worth-reading content and certainly have less than 200 followers as a recognition of their talent and as a way to greet them “welcome”. This is a small act of inspiration that might change a blogger’s whole point of view, just like it changed mine. The Liebster Award is an award for Recognition. You would not get any money, or cup, or medal, or certificate; just a recognition which will give you a spot-light mark in this crowded blogging-market!

Another thing about this award is that this is a “Pay it forward” award, like a chain reaction. Once you have accepted the award, you have to search for other bloggers, who are emerging as new buds with some really promising content that you find worth reading. You can accept it, or you can let it go; no harm done….However, if you want to accept The Liebster Award, you have to follow six simple rules which are:

1) Thank the blogger who nominated you and give a link to their blog
2) Answer 11 questions that blogger gives you
3) Give 11 random facts about yourself
4) Nominate 5-11 other blogs that have less than 200 followers
5) Let those bloggers know you’ve nominated them
6) Give them 11 questions to answer

Let's get right in!

Where do you write? Describe your ideal writing setting.
Hm... Well, I do most of my writing in my room but sometimes I'll take a notebook downstairs or outside to get a change of scenery. My ideal writing setting is this.

Isn't it pretty? So clean and tidy. And look! There's even a window by that desk. Oh, and would you look at that chair! So much more comfortable looking than the one I have.

What’s your favorite time to write?
Mornings. Before I do any school and my mental energy is all used up.

When did you begin blogging and writing, if they’re different?
I started blogging last September. But I started actually writing (and taking it seriously) Probably back in August of 2018 when I joined the Young Writer's Workshop (Which, btw, has drastically changed my writing for the better.)

What book most inspired your writing?
Hmm... That's a hard one. Probably The Wingfeather Saga. It is such a good story and it is so powerful. I can only dream of writing a book half that good!

What’s your favorite part of nature?
The sun. It gives life to everything around it and it makes everything so pretty! I love standing outside on a sunny day and looking at all the beautiful colors that the sun gives life to.

What’s your favorite time of day to write?
Um... Because this question was already asked above, I'm thinking that this one means "what is your favorite time of day to write about?" I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.
Anyway, my favorite time of day to write about is either morning or mid-afternoon. I love describing all the sights and sounds of the day, and because most of my book is traveling, I have many opportunities to do that.

What’s your favorite place to read?
Outside or in my room. Or really anywhere. As long as I can focus on my book and not be distracted by anything.

Lakes or oceans or rivers?
Ocean. Because some of my favorite movies/books take place on the ocean. Voyage of the Dawntreader, Moana, Wingfeather Saga (Not as much this one).

What’s your favorite summer activity?
Swimming with my siblings!

If you had to be a fictional character for a day, who would you be?
And this is the part of the post where Naomi starts screening because she can't choose just one character to be.
Rosie Cotton from LOTR because she marries one of THE BEST people on earth! Or should I say Middle Earth! She marries Sam Gamgee and if I could marry any fictional character, I would marry him.
I only wish that Tolkien had written more scenes with Rosie.

What three words most describe you?
Hm... I don't know. How about. Creative bookish nerd.

Now for 11 facts about me. Uggg! I'm so bad at these!
  1. I'm working on a new WIP (shhh! it's a secret for now)
  2. I enjoy learning about all different kinds of languages.
  3. I recently started a bullet journal
  4. I love animals
  5. I love making Disney references.
  6. I love playing the piano

Nominees for the award!

All of these are really great blogs and I suggest you check them out!

My questions for y'all are
  1. What is your favorite book/movie and why? (It can be fiction or nonfiction)
  2. Who inspires you?
  3. If you could have only one superpower, what would it be? (It can be anything at all, no matter how specific or odd it sounds)
  4. Would you rather read a book or watch a movie?
  5. Would you rather be inside or outside?
  6. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
  7. Do you plan ahead before you do something or do you just fly by the seat of your pants?
  8. Would you consider yourself creative? Why or why not?
  9. What is the best thing you have done this year?
  10. Sweet or salty?
  11. Do you like things to be competitive? Why or why not?
Hope you all enjoyed that! If you have a blog and want to be nominated please let me know and I will edit this post. Also, if you don't have a blog but would like to answer these questions, feel free to do so in the comments.

See y'all later!
