Magic is real!

Hey everyone! Sorry I missed last week's post again. Consistency seems to be an issue for me.

Today I want to talk about magic. Yes. Magic.
I'm reading a book now called Dragonspell and obviously, there are dragons but there is also a really intricate magic system that I think is just fascinating! (I will expand more on that and how I am making my own magic system in a future post.) I often find myself wishing that I could live in that world or any magical world that I love.

Does anyone else feel the same way? I thought so. This is for you.

You are living in a magical world. It sounds crazy, but if you really think about it, it's true!

It's not the kind of magic we think of when we think of the word magic but it's there. You can see it in the way the trees kinda glow after a heavy rain. You can see it in the golden sunset and you can see it in the way God perfectly orchestrates everything into a beautiful story that started with the creation of the world.

Think about the burning bush in Genisis. It was on fire but didn't burn up! If that isn't magic, then I don't know what is! Yes, that happened a very long time ago but the same God who made the bush not burn is the same God that we worship today. He even brought people back from the dead! That's something that no genie magic can do.

Yes, you can explain why the sky looks so pretty in the evening but who made it that way? God. He made it by merely speaking it into existence. That's some powerful stuff right there!!!

I feel like we are labeling magic as either being witchcraft or turning pumpkins into carriages but forgetting that we are living in a world swollen with magic. simply because we have explanations for why something is so beautiful.
Sometimes I don't understand why people have to find out why something happens and just be satisfied with the fact that it is there and that God made it that way for a reason.

Well, I think I've said my peace on this matter. I hope you can take away at least one thing from this post.

To summarize everything,
Don't wish yourself away to fantasy worlds because you have everything you need right here. God has placed you here for a purpose and wishing yourself away like telling God that you are unsatisfied with the life He has given you.

(Side note: If you did live in said fantasy world, you probably wouldn't have normal bathrooms or lightbulbs and you would have to use fire to light your house which would present a major fire hazard if a small child came running through your house and accidentally knocked something over. Think about what you have in this world that the fantasy world doesn't.)

Magic is everywhere but we are sometimes blinded to that realization because we know what causes it. Magic isn't just for children, I will continue to love stories with magic in the till the day I die, it's for everybody to enjoy.

The magic in our world is much more powerful than the magic that you read about in books because that magic is not real.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed that rant.
I'll leave you with this quote by Andrew Peterson that I mentioned in a previous post
It's only when we have grown too old that we fail to see that the Maker's world is swollen with magic - in music and water and even bumblebees. - Andrew peterson
What are some ways you see magic in our world?
