Be Interruptible for God

Hi! Today I'd like to talk about being available for God. Being ready to be interrupted
This is something that my youth pastor has been talking a lot about so I thought I'd do a post about it.

So, what do I mean by being interruptible or available for God?

I mean being open to God completely changing your plan for the day, listening to God when He tells you to take out the trash for your brother when you are in the middle of doing something or asking Him to search your heart and actually be willing for Him to maybe burst your bubble and reveal to you something that might have been hidden before.

But how do we do this?

By spending time with Him and seeking to know Him. Reading His word and meditating on it. Asking Him to reveal things to us when we read His word. You might be surprised by what you discover.
And when you pray to God, don't just do all the talking, be still before Him and allow Him to reveal Himself to you.
Also memorizing His word is a good way to... well it's just good for everything. It allows you to fight off the Devil when he comes to make your day miserable, that's why it is called the Sword of the Spirit.

All in all, I guess what I am trying to say is, spend time with God and listen for when He tells you something. Pray to Him because your prayers are powerful. And... yeah, that's about it.

Well, that's all for today, I know this was really short but it's like 10:00 pm right now and I need to get to bed.

Tell me in the comments section how God has interrupted your day.
Also, what topics would you like me to post about next?

Good night ;)
